Industrial Engineering Student Association, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University Wins 2nd Place at the 2025 Ajisaka Festival
Successfully Excelling in Popular Research Category with Highlights on Green Economy and Media Role
The Industrial Engineering Student Association, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University made a national achievement by winning 2nd place in the Nakula (Young People's Research) competition in the Popular Research category at the 2025 Ajisaka Festival. This prestigious competition was organized by the Department of Communication Science, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta.
Carrying the sub-theme "Towards a Green Economy: The Role of Media and Public Participation," the team from the Industrial Engineering Student Association of Udayana University presented popular research that examines how digital media can be a catalyst in increasing public awareness and involvement, especially the younger generation, towards environmental and sustainable economic issues.
This research combines an information technology approach with public communication analysis, demonstrating the potential for integrating social media, digital applications, and other online platforms as educational tools and mobilizing public participation in supporting the transition to a green economy.
This achievement is proof that students in Industrial Engineering also have concern and contribution in social and environmental issues, and are able to compete in national academic and creative forums.
The Ajisaka Festival is an annual event that is a place to explore ideas, creativity, and intellectualism of students from all over Indonesia. In the Nakula competition, participants are challenged to compile research that is not only scientific, but also can be packaged in a popular way so that it can be accessed by the wider public.
The success of the Udayana University Industrial Engineering Student Association in this event is expected to be an inspiration for other students to continue to innovate and take an active role in sustainable development through the use of inclusive technology and communication.
