PLN Goes to Campus Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University

The Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, in collaboration with PT. PLN (Persero) UP2B Bali, successfully held a Guest Lecture event with the theme "Bali Power System Challenge Towards Energy Transition". The main speaker at this event was Komang Teddy Indra Kusuma, S.T., M.T. Manager of PT. PLN (Persero) UP2B Bali. He is one of the alumni of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. The PLN to Goes Campus activity on Friday, September 13, 2024 in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, was moderated by Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Setiawan.


At the event, Mr. Komang Teddy explained the role and function of UP2B Bali in managing the generation, transmission, and distribution of electrical energy on the island of Bali. The main task of UP2B Bali includes regulating the generation load and balancing between electricity supply and demand, covering the entire chain from power plants, 150 KV transmission networks, 20 KV distribution, to end consumers. Where at the event it was also conveyed that in order to maintain the continuity and quality of service for consumers, there are three aspects that need to be considered, namely the electrical energy that is distributed must be reliable, quality and economical.


The PLN to Goes Campus activity became even more exciting when entering the quiz session, where at the event the participants were given questions related to the material that had been presented. The excitement increased when the best participants were announced. Finally, this activity was closed with the presentation of gifts for the best participants and questioners.
