Robot Study Group, Paksi, and UKM Robotek Clean Virgin Beach in Community Service Activities

The Robot, Paksi and UKM Robotek Study Group, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University carried out community service activities by cleaning the beach at Bukit Asah, Bugbug Village, Karangasem Regency on Saturday, February 3 2024. This activity aims to keep the environment clean, especially Virgin Beach, from plastic waste. which can damage marine ecosystems.


A total of 130 students were involved in this activity, accompanied by Robotek Supervisor Lecturers, Cokorde Indra Partha, and Ida Bagus Alit Swamardika. Also attending this activity were Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Engineering, I Gusti Ketut Sukadana, S.T., M.T.




In the spirit of mutual cooperation, students and supervisors cleaned up plastic waste along Virgin Beach. They work closely with local fishermen to ensure the success of this activity and also raise awareness of the importance of keeping beaches clean.


"Together with fishermen and students, we have succeeded in cleaning up a number of plastic waste that washed up on this beach. This activity is not only about cleaning up trash, but also educating the public about the importance of protecting the marine environment," said Cokorde Indra Partha.


Apart from cleaning up trash, students also provide education to the local community about the dangers of plastic waste for the marine environment and how to reduce the use of plastic in everyday life.


"We are very grateful to the robot study group and UKM Robotek for their initiative to keep Virgin Beach clean. Hopefully this activity will be an example for other people to care about the environment," said one of the fishermen who participated in this activity.


This service activity is a real form of commitment from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University in inviting students to contribute to community development and protecting the environment.
