Collaborative Visit from De Paz University to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University in the Development of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education

DE PAZ University is the oldest private university in Dili, Timor Leste. This university was founded on March 9, 2004. For 18 years this institution has produced scholars who have become excellent seeds in their country. This university is one of the largest private universities in Timor Leste by covering 6 faculties available. They are the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, the Faculty of Public Health, the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Agriculture. This institution is unique in its learning system which uses Indonesian and Tetun as the language of instruction in the lectures held.

 

Recently, DE PAZ University has paid a visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. The purpose of this visit is to establish cooperation in the field of higher education tri dharma so that the two agencies, especially the Faculty of Engineering, can synergize well. With this meeting, it is hoped that in the future official documents related to this cooperation will be issued so that it can make it easier to draw up future plans in achieving what is expected.

 

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, DE PAZ University, Mr. Jose said that with this collaboration, he could develop his educational staff. This is because the majority of the lecturers who teach at the Faculty of Engineering, DE PAZ University, are Master's Degree graduates. Thus, it is hoped that later friends from the Education staff from the Faculty of Engineering, DE PAZ University, will be able to continue their doctoral education at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University.

 

Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D. as the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University said that with this collaboration his party would be very open, especially if anyone wanted to continue their doctoral study in Engineering. they can continue their doctoral studies at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, where there will be a second wave to register for the next one in September 2022.

 

With this collaboration, it is hoped that it can improve human resources such as in the field of service and research with DE PAZ university. Thus, international cooperation in the field of community service and student exchange will be well established. From the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University can also give guest lectures to DE PAZ university and also provide service in the area there. If you wish, you can also recruit S2 graduates from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University to become education staff.
