Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University Holds IABEE Provisional Accreditation (PA) Preparation Workshop

The Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University held a preparation workshop for Provisional Accreditation (PA) from the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) on Friday, October 18, 2024. This activity took place in Meeting Room II, Faculty of Engineering Dean's Building, and was attended by a number of lecturers and academic staff.


This workshop presented two expert speakers, namely Prof. Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D., and Ir. Berlian Kushari, S.T., M.Eng., IPM., Asean.Eng.. Both of them provided in-depth material on strategic and technical steps in preparing for IABEE accreditation, which is an international accreditation standard for engineering study programs.


Prof. Sujaya, an academic with experience in the field of academic program development, explained the importance of IABEE PA as part of improving the quality of education in the field of engineering. He emphasized that this accreditation process is not only to meet standards, but also as an effort to encourage the improvement of the quality of graduates who are ready to compete at the global level.


Meanwhile, Ir. Berlian Kushari provided technical and administrative guidance in the preparation of accreditation documents. He also highlighted the aspect of continuous evaluation which is the basis for the IABEE accreditation assessment.


This workshop activity aims to strengthen the understanding and readiness of the accreditation team of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University in preparing and submitting the required documents. With the implementation of this workshop, it is hoped that the faculty will be able to achieve IABEE Provisional Accreditation which will increase the credibility and competitiveness of engineering study programs at the international level.


The event went smoothly and interactively, with participants actively asking questions and discussing the challenges that might be faced during the accreditation process. The Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering, in his remarks, expressed his hope that the entire academic community could work together and commit to achieving the desired accreditation, for the advancement of the faculty and improving the quality of education at Udayana University.


This workshop is an important initial step for the Faculty of Engineering in achieving its long-term goal of improving the accreditation and quality of study programs that are recognized internationally.
