Field Evaluation for Establishment of Architect Professional Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University
Related to the contents of the Charter of Architectural Education issued by UNESCO which stipulates that to prepare students to become professional architects they must have at least two levels of education, namely the first level and the second level. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology jointly formulated the first level of architect education as a level equivalent to a bachelor's degree. Architectural education at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University follows the pattern of undergraduate education which is set for up to 8 semesters which are taken in 4 years. Thus graduates of the Udayana University Architecture Study Program have just completed the first level to become professional architects, namely with the position of Assistant Beginner Architect which is confirmed with a Construction Service Skills Certificate. In order to be recognized and equated with the same profession at the world level, Udayana architecture graduates must continue to the Architect Professional education level which is the second level so that they are ready to become prospective Architects in accordance with the 5 Year Architecture education with a work position as Assistant Architect with Work Competency Certificate. In an effort to realize the 5-year Architecture education at Udayana University, the Architect Professional Program was formed which has gone through the stages of submitting a proposal to BAN-PT, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The next stage is a field evaluation carried out by evaluators from BAN-PT directly to the PPAr of Udayana University.
Field evaluation is a follow-up stage for the establishment of the Architect Professional Program after completing the proposal submission and examination stage.
