International Collaboration Between the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and Kansai University, Japan: Social Work Field Camp in Buleleng

An international collaboration involving the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and Kansai University, Japan, is currently taking place in Buleleng, Bali. In the activity titled "Social Work Field Camp," 14 students and 2 lecturers from Kansai University, Japan and 5 students and 1 lecturer from the Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University are actively involved in community service which will last for one full month.


This program is part of an effort to strengthen academic and cultural relations between the two universities and provide a positive impact on the local community in Buleleng. Participants will work together on various projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the local community, including the development of environmentally friendly infrastructure, sustainable architectural design, and community empowerment through education and training.


The Head of the Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Tri Anggraini Prajnawrdhi, stated that this collaboration not only provides valuable experience for students, but also becomes a forum for sharing knowledge and culture between the two countries. "We hope that this activity can provide real contributions to the Buleleng community, while enriching students' insights in understanding the importance of the role of architecture and engineering in sustainable development," he said.


In addition to community service, participants will also be involved in various cultural activities aimed at introducing the uniqueness of Bali to Japanese students. This is expected to strengthen cross-cultural understanding and appreciation, as well as build closer relationships between students from both universities.
