Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University Becomes Cyber Security Speaker at the Ministry of Finance's ICT and SIMAN v.2 ICT DJKN Refresher Workshop

The Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, has duties related to technical standardization policies in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT). In this regard, it is necessary to increase the technical competence of employees within the DJKN environment in accordance with developments in ICT management.

For this reason, the National Wealth and Financial Balance Education and Training Center held a Workshop on Refreshing ICT and SIMAN v.2 Applications for PIC ICT DJKN on November 30 2023. This workshop invited I Putu Agus Eka Pratama, one of the permanent lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University (Unud) and expert in the field of cyber security, as a speaker to provide material and training regarding cyber security to the participants. As moderator for this activity was Taufiq Ahmad Siregar from DJKN.

The material presented includes basic concepts of network security, cyber security and information security, user security awareness, along with a number of case studies of cyber crimes that occurred in Indonesia. The material is also linked to IT-based systems and services at the Ministry of Finance, one of which is SIMAN for the management of state-owned goods and assets. Apart from that, there was also a demo related to cyber security on the Linux operating system, to provide additional knowledge to the participants.

After delivering the material and demo, a discussion and question and answer session was held between the presenters and the participants. The questions asked by the participants were mostly related to case studies, problems and challenges experienced by the participants related to the provision of IT-based services as well as recent cyber security issues, including data leaks, privacy, and several forms. cyber attacks on the internet against service servers. Finally, a photo session was held with all the participants.
