The 26th HAKTEKNAS Virtual Exhibition

In commemoration of the National Technology Awakening Day (HAKTEKNAS), the Dean Engineering Indonesia Forum (FDTI), the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII), the PII Rector Forum, and the Directorate General of Higher Education Research and Technology collaborated to organize the 26th HAKTEKNAS Virtual Exhibition in 2021. The theme with “Collaboration in innovation to Strengthen Proud of Indonesian Made” this virtual exhibition is expected to build a sense of pride in product and innovation that made in Indonesia in terms of technology. Through as online, this event was opened by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim, B.A., M.B.A, Thursday 19 August 2021.

The Vice Chairman of FDTI as well as Chair of the Committee Prof. Ir. Ngakan Putu Gede Suardana, M.T., Ph.D., IPU in his report said that the total participants in the virtual exhibition was 30 in the form of videos of innovation products, especially in technology from 28 campuses around of Indonesia, and Directorate General of Higher Education. Beside of innovation product videos, this virtual exhibition also contains exhibitions of posters, power point materials, and others, these all of that can be view in virtual 2D or 3D mode.

The acting official of Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology as well as the Chairman of FDTI Prof. Nizam, M.Sc.,DIC.,Ph.D.,IPU,ASEAN Eng said that most of the innovation products in this exhibition have been produced, hand in hand with industry through the independent campus program. “Mutual cooperation for innovation in order to build a pride of the creation of nation is very important. During the pandemic, many products were imported, for this reason this exhibition purpose to build Indonesian sovereignty in technology”.

Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim in his opening session said that innovation and technology are evidence of creativity and the result of the combination of the Pancasila values of student and educator. “I very well welcome, I hope that virtual exhibition event like this will continuous so the creation of innovator in Indonesia will be known more”. Nadiem Anwar Makarim emphasized the importance of removing barriers between universities, the business world, industry, and society. "Let's fight together to remove these barriers."

“Thank you FDTI for the initiative to organize the HAKTEKNAS Exhibition, I feel really happy. Especially in a pandemic situation, there are so many problems that attack, this makes the direction of our research to be in the same direction, with these innovations will certainly have an impact on our economic independence. I hope ladies and gentlemen can give us input on what we should do in advancing our innovation,” said Nadiem Anwar Makarim.
