The Waste Bank Program in Selat Village Supports Strengthening the Capacity of Student Organizations at the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University

The Program for Strengthening the Capacity of the BEM Student Organization, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, which is located in Banjar Witajati, Selat Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, has been implemented. This activity takes the form of training on the use of waste chopping machines and training on sack sewing machines to produce products with higher economic value.

During the training process, waste chopping equipment and sack sewing machines were also provided. For your information, an organic waste chopping machine is a tool that functions to chop organic waste, in this case in the form of leftover food and plantation waste into smaller pieces, thereby speeding up the decomposition process into organic fertilizer. After being chopped, the organic fertilizer is then placed in a sack and sewn using a sack sewing machine.

This activity is expected to have a direct impact on village residents as well as farmer groups and the Waste Bank which can make processed waste products such as organic fertilizer from organic waste.

This training was attended by 20 Banjar Witajati residents and the Wita Jati Village Farmers Group, which was also a follow-up to the coordination that had been carried out with the Selat Village Government where the Village Government wanted to make a change.
