"Trash to Treasure" Waste Bank activity by the Environmental Engineering Study Program

`

The Environmental Engineering Study Program succeeded in holding a waste bank activity aimed at dealing with and distributing waste to the right parties on Monday 12 February 2024. This activity, named "Trash to Treasure", not only aims to reduce waste generation in the campus environment, but also provides direct economic benefits to the community as well as building awareness of the importance of waste management.

This "Trash to Treasure" waste bank is a collaboration between the Environmental Engineering Study Program and Bali Wastu. This event was attended by the Head of the Environmental Engineering Study Program, lecturers, laboratory assistants, and enthusiastic Environmental Engineering students.

Inorganic waste such as plastic (plastic bottles, plastic cups, gallons), paper (cardboard, printed paper, notebooks, magazines, newspapers, calendars), metal (drink cans, biscuit tins, milk cans), and glass (drink bottles ) can be deposited into this waste bank.

It is hoped that in the future this waste bank will be increasingly popular with the wider community because this waste bank is open to the public, where everyone who wants to save at the waste bank is allowed. It is hoped that the existence of this waste bank will have a positive impact not only in waste management, but also in increasing people's income and awareness of the importance of protecting the environment.

It is hoped that the "Trash to Treasure" waste bank activity can be an example for other communities to participate in efforts to manage better and more sustainable waste.
