Udayana University's Faculty of Engineering Holds Fire Prevention and Response Simulation

The Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, held a fire prevention and suppression simulation on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Dean's Building of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. This activity aimed to improve the academic community's preparedness for potential emergencies, particularly fires on campus.

The simulation covered several key topics, including education on fire prevention and suppression, introduction to and use of portable fire extinguishers (APAR), emergency evacuation simulations, and an understanding of basic self-rescue techniques. Through this activity, participants were provided with practical knowledge and skills to act quickly, accurately, and safely in emergency situations.

In the APAR introduction session, participants were given an understanding of the types of APARs, their functions, and proper usage techniques. Next, an emergency evacuation simulation was conducted, illustrating fire rescue procedures, including designated evacuation routes and assembly points. The activity also included basic self-rescue training to minimize the risk of injury.

This simulation activity is expected to raise awareness of the importance of occupational safety and health (OHS) on campus and improve the ability of the Faculty of Engineering academic community at Udayana University to respond to emergencies in a coordinated manner. Through this activity, the Faculty of Engineering is committed to continuously creating a safe, responsive, and prepared campus environment for various potential risks.
