VISIT TO TELKOM UNIVERSITY TO FOLLOW UP ON COOPERATION, GOOD PRACTICES RELATED TO FAST TRACK AND RPL

The Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University (Unud) conducted a visit/Benchmarking to the Faculty of Engineering, Telkom University, Bandung on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The visit, which was attended by 4 lecturers and 1 education staff, was in order to develop strategic programs, especially related to Fast Track and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).


Vice Dean I of FT Prof. Ir. I Nyoman Budiarsa, MT., Ph.D., who in this case represented the Dean of FT Unud, as the coordinator of the visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Telkom University, said that these programs require careful planning and implementation, as well as regulations, policies, procedures, and supporting administrative technology. For this reason, the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University needs to study the best practices that have been implemented in the Faculty of Engineering, Telkom University as one of the universities with a superior reputation in managing innovative educational programs, especially related to the implementation of programs, especially related to Fast Track and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).


The visit was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Telkom University, Dr. Ir. Bambang Setia Nugroho, S.T., M.T accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Research Support Dr. Ir. Levy Olivia Nur, S.T., M.T, Vice Dean II for Finance, Resources and Student Affairs Dr. Mamat Rokhmat, S.Si., M.Si, and Head of the Electrical Engineering Masters Study Program Dr. Ida Wahidah, S.T., M.T, and educational staff.


In this meeting, both parties discussed the planning and implementation of the Fast Track and RPL programs, regulations, policies, and procedures related to the two programs, reviewed the administrative technology used to support the implementation of the programs, and studied the best practices from Telkom University that can be adapted at Udayana University.


This visit is expected to provide results in the form of a report on the results of the visit containing recommendations for the implementation of the Fast Track and RPL programs at the FT of Udayana University, an in-depth understanding of administrative technology and best practices of Telkom University in the implementation of the Fast Track and RPL programs, and become a strategic step to support the development of education at Udayana University through the implementation of the Fast Track and RPL programs. The results of this activity will be an important foundation in compiling relevant policies and procedures, as well as strengthening the synergy between the two institutions.
