Industrial Engineering Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Won Two Bronze Medals at the 2025 Nusantara Creative Competition.
The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University has once again achieved impressive national recognition through the work of its Industrial Engineering students. This time, Yohanes Bertholens Kiuk, a student in the Industrial Engineering Study Program, earned two Bronze Medals at the 2025 Nusantara Creative Competition held in Bandung.
The national-scale competition, held on September 20–21, 2025, is a scientific event organized by the Setara Prisma Nusantara Institute (Nusantara Muda) with the collaborative support of the TEDC Bandung Polytechnic. The Nusantara Creative Competition serves as a platform to capture creative, innovative, and solution-oriented ideas from the nation's youth, particularly university students, through a scientific essay competition format divided into several important sub-themes touching on various aspects of life, ranging from environmental issues to technology, social issues, education, and culture.
In the 2025 edition, Yohanes Bertholens Kiuk excelled by submitting two essays on different sub-themes: environment and technology. Both essays earned the jury's praise, earning each a Bronze Medal. Winning two awards simultaneously for different sub-themes is clear evidence that the intellectual ability, creativity, and compassion of Udayana University students are capable of competing and being recognized in a national-level scientific competition forum that brings together students from various universities across Indonesia.
This achievement certainly didn't come overnight, but rather through a long process involving hard work, perseverance, and a strong passion for learning. Through his ideas, Yohanes not only prioritizes theoretical aspects but also emphasizes the importance of applying ideas to address real-world challenges facing the nation, both in the areas of environmental conservation and the wise and sustainable use of technology.
Yohanes Bertholens Kiuk's success is a source of pride, not only for him personally, but also for the Industrial Engineering Study Program, the Faculty of Engineering, and Udayana University as a whole. This achievement also serves as encouragement for other students to continue working, honing their academic skills, and actively participating in various scientific competitions to develop an innovative and highly competitive young generation at the national and international levels.
By winning two Bronze Medals at the 2025 Nusantara Creative Competition, Udayana University, through the Faculty of Engineering, has further strengthened its existence as a higher education institution that consistently encourages, facilitates, and provides space for its students to excel and make real contributions through quality academic works.
