ISSC GOES TO CAMPUS 2023 HELD AT THE UNDERGRADUATE CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDY PROGRAM, UDAYANA UNIVERSITY

The Udayana University Civil Engineering Undergraduate Study Program has held the Indonesian Society of Steel Construction (ISSC) Goes to Campus 2023. on Tuesday, December 12 2023 at the Sudirman Campus, Udayana University with the theme "Steel Construction Design". This activity aims to provide insight into the steel industry, provide an introduction to the world of steel construction to students within the Faculty of Engineering, improve the quality of human resources in mastering industrial technology and steel construction, and provide opportunities for students, lecturers and stakeholders to get to know steel construction more widely by providing up-to-date and ongoing information.

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.,Sc.,Ph.D on this occasion said that this activity could provide a forum for information related to steel construction and become a medium for students to gain insight into industrial developments. He also hopes that students will have an overview of the world of steel construction and related industries. Furthermore, the Chair of the ISSC Committee, Dr. Drs. Ir. Edison Hatoguan Manurung, S.T., M.M., M.T., M.H. on the same occasion stated that students could gain direct experience from practitioners and this activity would open up knowledge related to renewable technology, with the aim that students would adapt more quickly to the world of work in the future. He also added that the same roadshow activity was held on 24 campuses throughout Java and Bali, and has been running since September 12 2023. The activity at Udayana University was twenty-four, presenting 8 speakers from academics and 7 practitioners.
