Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Qualify for the 39th PIMNAS in 2026
Students from the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University have successfully qualified for the 39th National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS) in 2026 through the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM). This achievement follows the Progress Assessment of PKM Implementation (PKP2), conducted by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs under the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
The PKP2 assessment took place from September 14–19, 2026, for all participating PKM teams. Based on the evaluation results, the qualifying teams earned the right to participate in the 39th PIMNAS, which will be held from November 2–7, 2026, with Diponegoro University serving as the host.
The Udayana University team presented a research project titled “LYMKALA: An AI-Powered Multisensor Necklace Based on Hybrid CNN-Regression and Integrated with IoMT for Non-Invasive Monitoring and Early Detection of Biometric Variations in Lymph Node Cancer.” The team is led by Gabriella Sunsugos Sianturi, with four members: Kelvin Imanuel and Nyoman Wiprayanka from the Faculty of Engineering, and I Komang Raditya Putra Pratama and Assyifa Dewanda Parend from the Faculty of Medicine.
The involvement of students from two different faculties demonstrates an interdisciplinary collaboration in the development of research concepts. This collaboration serves as a form of student contribution toward fostering innovations rooted in science and technology through the Student Creativity Program.
Qualifying for the 39th PIMNAS provides the team with an opportunity to present their research findings and compete against students from various higher education institutions across Indonesia. The event also serves as a platform for students to cultivate their creativity, critical thinking skills, and capacity for innovation in addressing various societal challenges. The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University commends the team’s achievement and hopes that all members will prepare themselves optimally for the 39th PIMNAS in 2026. This accomplishment is expected to motivate other students to continue their creative work, develop innovative research, and bring honor to Udayana University on the national stage.
