Udayana University's Faculty of Engineering Student Team Wins Third Place in the PERSPEKTIF 2026 Design Competition
Students from the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University have once again achieved a proud achievement through the PERSPEKTIF 2026 Design Competition, organized by the Vastu Mandala Student Association (HMA) of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram, from February 3 to March 9, 2026. In this national-level competition, the Udayana University Faculty of Engineering student team secured third place with their project, "Discarded to Designed: Transforming Waste into Creative Space."
The Udayana University Faculty of Engineering team consisted of I Wayan Dharma Wijaya (Class of 2023), I Gede Giri Nartha (Class of 2023), and I Gusti Ngurah Ary Diatmika (Class of 2023). The team's success was also due to the guidance of their supervisor, Ardina Susanti, S.T., M.T., who supported them throughout the concept development process and the creation of a competitive and innovative design.
The PERSPEKTIF 2026 competition challenged participants to create creative, sustainability-based design solutions by utilizing waste or discarded materials to create spaces that have functional, aesthetic, and social value for the community. Through their presentation, the Udayana University student team successfully offered design ideas that integrate architectural creativity with environmental issues, specifically in utilizing waste to create innovative and sustainable creative spaces.
The success of the Udayana University Faculty of Engineering student team in winning this award demonstrates their ability to develop design ideas and concepts relevant to environmental issues and the need for sustainable creative spaces. This achievement also reflects the students' commitment to enhancing their academic competence and creativity through active participation in various national competitions.
