Electrical Engineering Students from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Won First Place in the 2026 Djarum Plus Scholarship National Essay Contest

Another proud achievement was achieved by a student from the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University at the national level. Gabriella Sunsugos Sianturi (NIM 2305541117), a student in the Electrical Engineering Study Program, won first place in the 2026 Djarum Plus Scholarship Essay Contest, organized by the Djarum Foundation.


This success was achieved after Gabriella participated in the national finals, held from June 25–28, 2026, at the Grand Mercure Seminyak, Bali. This competition, part of a series of competency development programs for Djarum Scholars, aims to hone critical thinking skills, creativity, and offer innovative solutions to various issues facing society.


This national achievement follows Gabriella's previous success in winning the 2026 Djarum Plus Scholarship Essay Contest Regional Championship at the regional competition held on May 30, 2026, at the Djarum Hospital in Surabaya. Winning the regional championship propelled Gabriella to the top of the list of finalists for the national competition.


The Djarum Plus Scholarship Essay Contest is one of the Djarum Foundation's flagship programs, providing a platform for Djarum Scholars (Beswan Djarum) to convey ideas, solutions, and innovations to various national issues through scientific essays. In addition to assessing the quality of their writing, this competition also tests participants' ability to present ideas, defend arguments, and answer questions from the panel of judges.


Gabriella's success in winning the National First Place award demonstrates that Udayana University Faculty of Engineering students excel not only in academics and technology, but also possess critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills capable of competing at the national level.
