CSR worth Rp. 272.000.000,- submitted directly by the commissioner of PT. Baliyoni Saguna, Dr. Ir. Ni Wayan Sri Ariyani, M.M. This CSR handover took place directly at the Technopreneurship Laboratory which was in one of the rooms of the 4-floor Building, Advanced Research laboratory, with an area of +/- 4500 m2 whose physical construction was completed in December 2021.
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering said that this technopreneurship laboratory has been established since 2019, but only now has a room. The establishment of this laboratory is expected to help the Faculty of Engineering produce new start-ups from among students and improve student achievement in the field of entrepreneurship so as to increase the achievement of the Main Performance Indicators of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, especially Main Performance Indicators No. 1 and 2 regarding the quality of graduates. “Because this laboratory is closely related to Information Technology (IT), computers, and so on, and PT. Baliyoni is a company that does a lot of work in the IT sector, so we put forward a proposal so that some of its CSR is given to our laboratory,” said the Dean.
The technopreneurship laboratory is a vital facility owned by the Faculty of Engineering to produce young, innovative technopreneurs. Moreover, in the Industrial Era 4.0, technopreneurs who have intellectual knowledge and are adaptive to technological developments are needed. The Faculty of Engineering through the Technopreneurship laboratory drives and facilitates students to be able to compete in the outside world and become strong young entrepreneurs. The laboratory is a very good and proper place to be able to generate ideas and hone entrepreneurship skills. said the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D. when interviewed by the Maestro Journalism Team on Tuesday, 15/03/2022 at 13.00 WITA in the Advanced Research Laboratory building.
In addition to the Technopreneurship Laboratory, the Advanced Research Laboratory Building is also designated for research laboratories in more advanced and superior engineering sciences. Considering the current lack of research laboratories that support the research of higher lecturers to produce research outputs that are beneficial for the welfare of society and the development of science. On the roof floor of this building will be installed solar panels that can meet the electricity needs during the day. The installation of solar panels is one of the commitments of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University in utilizing renewable energy to support the Green Campus concept, said the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University.
