Hino Indonesia Hands Over 5C Transmission and Engine Component Simulators to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University

The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University received support for learning facilities from Hino Indonesia through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program for Fiscal Year 2025, in the form of a 5C Transmission and Main Engine Component Simulator. This assistance is intended to support student practical activities and improve competency, particularly in the fields of automotive engineering and manufacturing.

The donation was part of a series of events commemorating Hino Indonesia's 43rd anniversary in Indonesia. The donation was handed over directly by the President Director of PT Hino Motors Manufacturing Indonesia (HMMI), Hiroshi Terawaki, to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University, Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., IPU, during a handover ceremony held at Udayana University.

The simulator, comprising the main components of the 5C engine, including the cylinder block, cylinder head, connecting rod, camshaft, and crankshaft, is designed as a practical learning tool for students to comprehensively understand the transmission system and engine operation.

This support is expected to be optimally utilized as a practice-based learning tool. Furthermore, this activity underscores the importance of sustainable synergy between industry and higher education in producing superior graduates prepared to meet the needs of the national industry. This assistance also demonstrates Hino Indonesia's commitment to supporting the strengthening of vocational education in Indonesia.

The donated engine components are parts of Hino vehicles manufactured at Hino's manufacturing facility in Purwakarta, West Java, with a Domestic Component Level (TKDN) above 40 percent and meeting the EURO 4 diesel emission standards in effect in Indonesia since April 2022.

The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University welcomes this collaboration as a strategic step in improving the quality of learning and the relevance of the curriculum to industry needs. It is hoped that the collaboration between Udayana University and Hino Indonesia will continue in various educational development programs, research, and human resource capacity building.

This activity is outlined in the Press Release on Hino Indonesia's Fiscal Year 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Work Program.
