PRIZE OF 1st CHAMPION OF BAMBOO COMPETITION TO STUDENTS OF THE FACULTY OF ENGINEERING, UDAYANA UNIVERSITY BY THE CHAIRMAN OF SOUTHEAST ASIAN DESIGNERS ALLIANCE

The Chairman of the Southeast Asian Designers Alliance's visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University on Friday 6 January 2023 was received directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and his staff at the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, Jimbaran Campus. The purpose of this visit was to hand over prizes and awards directly to the MAYURA Team from the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University who won 1st place in the 2022 Bamboo Competition.




In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, was proud of the achievements made by the architecture team of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Udayana in the 2022 Bamboo Competition on August 20, 2022 which was organized by Warmadewa University which is a series of activities from the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macao Greater Bay Area and ASEAN International Colleges and Universities Construction Competition and hope that with this achievement in the future the Udayana University Faculty of Engineering and the Southeast Asian Designers Alliance can work together in the future in the field of architecture.




Chairman Of Southeast Asian Designers Alliance, Mr. Zhao Yang also expressed his pride in coming to the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University and meeting young talents in the field of Architecture. This bamboo competition was first held in 2018, for 2018 and 2019 the winners of this competition will be invited directly to Quanzhou China to build the construction, and since the pandemic, the champions only need to send their designs and will be built by craftsmen in China and for the Bamboo Competition. In 2023, the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, received a special invitation to attend China in December 2023.


 



The MAYURA team, guided by Mr. Antonius Karel Muktiwibowo, ST., MT., PhD. consists of 8 architecture students class of 2020, namely: I Made Rio Sastra Erawan; Ida Bagus Mahardika Wikananda; Ida Bagus Renal Dipa Isaka; I Ketut Bagus Aryawibawa; Made Pande Aji Satria Angkasa; I Nyoman Aditya Prawita Putra; I Made Aditya Putra Januarta; and Gede Surya Mahajaya. The MAYURA team won 1st place by presenting a work entitled "Mayura: When the Beauty Shines Brighter". The pavilion is designed to take the basic shape of a peacock feather which is then divided into two according to the theme of this year's bamboo competition. In this competition, the student team compiled three presentation materials, namely mock-ups, posters, and object samples for detailed 1:1 scale construction.
