Udayana University Industrial Engineering Students Win Four Prestigious Awards at the 2026 National PENA 2 Event

Students from the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, have once again achieved a proud achievement in the prestigious national-level competition PENA 2 (National Essay Week) 2026. Organized by Pena Competition in collaboration with Dhyana Pura University, the competition took place on May 2–3, 2026, in Bali, and attracted dozens of top student teams from various universities across Indonesia.

In a competition that upholds the spirit of innovation and real contributions to the development of science, particularly in the field of technology, the Industrial Engineering team from Udayana University performed exceptionally and dominated their category. With their innovative, applicable, and analytically sound essays, the team captivated the jury's attention from the selection stage through the final presentation.

This success is evidenced by the following outstanding achievements:

3. Best Presentation (Technology Category)

4. Best Paper (Technology Category)

These achievements are a strong indicator that Udayana University's Industrial Engineering students not only excel in writing scientific papers, but also possess excellent communication and presentation skills. The team successfully mastered the assessment, which included aspects of novelty of ideas, depth of analysis, relevance of solutions, and the ability to convey ideas systematically and persuasively.

This outstanding team was led by I Kadek Crisma Suputra (2505571041), along with members Made Diva Candradewi Restu Putri (2505571039), Ni Luh Ester Puspita Junianti (2505571044), I Ketut Yasa Pradana Putra (2505571030), and Kadek Agus Sugandha (2505571049). Solid collaboration among team members was one of the main keys to their success in facing the intense and challenging competition.

Throughout the competition, teams were not only required to produce quality written work but also to defend their ideas through presentations and intense Q&A sessions with the panel of judges. At this stage, critical thinking skills, analytical acumen, and mastery of the material were crucial factors in determining victory. The Udayana University Industrial Engineering team successfully demonstrated its best performance with communicative, systematic, and convincing delivery.

PENA 2 is a national essay competition aimed at encouraging Indonesian students to be more active in expressing their creative and innovative ideas in scientific papers. Furthermore, this activity also serves as a platform to hone their problem-solving skills, addressing various current issues, particularly in the rapidly evolving field of technology.

This success is undoubtedly due to the support of various parties, including lecturer guidance, academic facilities, and a conducive campus environment.
