Udayana University's Faculty of Engineering Hosts an International Mini-Symposium on Resource Recovery and Sustainability

The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University will host the Joint Mini-Symposium on Resource Recovery: Advancing Sustainability and Climate Resilience through Organic Waste Valorization, which will take place from June 29–July 1, 2026, at Udayana University in Jimbaran, Bali. This event is an international collaboration between Udayana University, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and Korea University.

This mini-symposium aims to bring together researchers, academics, and experts from various countries to discuss the latest developments in resource recovery, particularly through the utilization of organic waste as a sustainable solution to address the challenges of climate change. This scientific forum is expected to foster innovative research collaborations and strengthen international academic networks.

The symposium will feature a diverse scientific agenda, including plenary lectures, keynote lectures, invited talks, field visits, and academic networking sessions, providing participants with opportunities to exchange ideas and establish cross-institutional research collaborations.

In an official invitation letter issued by the organizing committee on May 30, 2026, the Symposium Chair, Prof. Dr. Tjokorda Gde Tirta Nindhia, invited leading academics to participate as keynote speakers. The presence of these speakers is expected to enrich the scientific program through presentations of research findings, experiences, and innovative ideas relevant to the themes of sustainability and organic waste management.

As a higher education institution actively developing research in engineering and the environment, Udayana University continues to expand international collaborations to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
