The Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University and Samarinda State Polytechnic are finalizing the implementation of a doctoral program in engineering.

The Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, hosted a visit from Samarinda State Polytechnic (POLNES) to discuss the implementation of the agreement (IoA) between the two institutions. The meeting, held at the Faculty of Engineering, focused on the development of collaborative classes for the Doctoral Program in Engineering as an effort to improve the quality and competency of lecturers.

The visit marked a strategic step in realizing the existing collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, and Samarinda State Polytechnic. Through this program, both institutions are committed to supporting human resource development, particularly for lecturers, through opportunities to pursue doctoral studies in the Doctoral Program in Engineering.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from both institutions. Present from Samarinda State Polytechnic were Karyo Budi Utomo, S.Kom., M.Eng. and Said Keliwar, S.S.T. Par., M.Sc. Meanwhile, the Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, was represented by Prof. Ir. Linawati, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., Prof. Ir. I Nyoman Budiarsa, M.T., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., I Ketut Wijana, S.E., M.M., and Ni Ketut Tjitra Juni, S.E., along with the Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Engineering, Prof. Ir. Ni Made Ary Esta Dewi Wirastuti, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN Eng., attended the event. The presence of these participants reflected a shared commitment to strengthening academic collaboration and sustainable human resource development.

During the discussion, both parties addressed various technical aspects of the collaborative class implementation, from program implementation mechanisms and academic processes to mentoring strategies for lecturers who wish to continue their studies. This program is expected to serve as a platform for enhancing the academic and professional capacity of lecturers, enabling them to make greater contributions to the development of higher education, research, and community service.

The leadership of the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University welcomed the visit and expressed their appreciation for the trust placed in them by Samarinda State Polytechnic. This collaboration is expected to strengthen institutional relationships and be a concrete step in supporting the improvement of the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University and Samarinda State Polytechnic hope to create sustainable synergy in developing superior human resources, particularly in the engineering field, to address future development challenges and industry needs.
